On May 20, 1936, the plaintiff was granted an absolute divorce from the defendant. The divorce decree adopted, approved, and made a part of the judgment, a written stipulation made by and between the parties dividing the property and providing for the payment by the plaintiff to the defendant of the sum of four thousand dollars ($4,000) in certain stipulated installments.
