MARTIN, Chief Judge.

Plaintiff appeals from an order of the North Carolina Industrial Commission awarding him compensation, pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 97-29 and 97-30, for temporary total disability from 13 August 1997 until 6 February 2000, and temporary partial disability from 6 February 2000 until 1 April 2000.

The record discloses that on 12 August 1997, plaintiff received injuries to his right leg arising out of and in the course and scope of his employment as a ground maintenance worker with defendant-employer. On 3 September 1997, defendant-carrier admitted liability for plaintiffs…
