PONDER, Justice.

On August 28, 1869, Mrs. Margaret DeHart, wife of Jesse DeHart, obtained from the State a patent of 80.07 acres of land in Sec. 20, Township 18, S. R. 12E., Parish of Terrebonne. On March 11, 1879, the State issued a patent to her husband, Jesse DeHart, conveying to him eighty-two acres of land in Sec. 19, Township 18, S. R. 12E., Parish of Terrebonne. The two tracts of land contained 162.07 acres and consisted of what is familiarly termed swamp or marsh lands.
