This appeal is for review of a judgment for plaintiffs (respondents) in an action on a promissory note. The defendants (appellants) were the makers of the note which was dated May 12, 1915, for $1050, payable one year after date to the order of Thoeming Commercial Company, payee. In the petition the plaintiffs alleged, among other things, that they took the note from the payee for value before ma-urity in) the regular course of business.
