The defendant, Stanley Benjamin, appeals, pursuant to our grant of certification, from the Appellate Court’s judgment affirming: (1) the trial court’s judgment revoking his probation pursuant to General Statutes § 53U-32 1 on the basis of its finding that the defendant had committed the crimes of assault on an elderly person in the third degree 2 and possession of narcotics; and (2) the judgment of conviction, rendered following a jury trial, of possession of narcotics in violation of General Statutes § 2 la-279.
