OPINION OF THE COURT

WERNER, Senior Judge:

Despite his pleas of not guilty, the appellant was convicted by a general court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone, of conspiracy to wrongfully distribute cocaine and two specifications of wrongfully distributing cocaine in violation of Articles 81 and 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 881 and 912a (1988) [hereinafter UCMJ].
