This is a suit by a former tug boat deckhand under Section 205(g) of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), for judicial review of the denial by the Department of Health, Education & Welfare of disability insurance benefits claimed under 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i)(l) and 423(d)(1). The issue is whether the claimant was capable of engaging in substantial gainful activity in the last half of the 1973 calendar year. 1 The following chronological chart summarizes the facts:
