The relator, Henry T. Hammond, the unsuccessful Republican candidate for Mayor of the City of Williamson at an election held on June 10, 1952, brought this original proceeding in mandamus against Joseph P. Hatfield, Mayor of the City of Williamson, John Layne, Norman Roberts, Wilson R.
