On June 28, 1972, the jury returned a verdict of no cause of action in this automobile negligence action. Plaintiffs’ motion for a new trial was denied in an order of September 18, 1972, and they appeal.

This case arises out of an automobile accident which occurred in the afternoon of November 8, 1969, on US-12 near Hog Creek Road, west of Allen, Michigan. At the time of the accident, plaintiffs were accompanying John Vaira, a friend for many years, on a trip to Lebanon, Indiana, to visit his sister in connection with an illness in the family.
