Defendant lived in his friend’s home where the two grew, used, and sold marijuana. The friend’s teenaged daughter, and her friend, also lived there. Defendant occasionally smoked marijuana in the home, sometimes with the teenagers. Based on those circumstances, defendant was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (ORS 475.856), delivering a controlled substance to a minor (ORS 475.906), and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.1 At his ensuing trial, defendant moved for judgment of acquittal on the child-endangerment charges.
