On October 1,1907, an act of the General Court (St. 1907, c. 535) went into effect entitled “ An act to provide for the testing and sealing of weights, measures and balances having a device for indicating the price as well as the weight of commodities offered for sale.” By § 1 it is provided that R. L. c. 62, relating to testing and sealing weights, measures and balances “ shall apply to all scales, balances, computing scales and other devices having a device for indicating or registering the price as well as the weight of the commodity offered for sale.
