Appellant Amanda Johnson was convicted in Laurel Circuit Court in May 2011 of the murder and first-degree criminal abuse of her two-year-old son, Stephen Carl Troy. Appellant appeals the trial court’s judgment in its entirety, though two of her complaints relate only to her abuse conviction. As to the abuse conviction, she alleges that she was entitled to a directed verdict and, alternatively, that the jury’s verdict violated the unanimity requirement.
