The plaintiff, Yolanda Young, brought this lawsuit against the defendant, the law firm of Covington & Burling, LLP (“Covington”), asserting that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2 (2006), the District of Columbia Human Rights Act (“DCHRA”), D.C.Code § 2-1402.11(a)(1) (2006), and section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, 42 U.S.C. § 1981 (2006), when it allegedly discriminated against her based on her race during her employment at Covington and then retaliated against her based on her…
