On or about June 13, 1929, the School District of the Borough of Ridley Park entered into a written contract with the JonesRedditt Company, a corporation, whereby the latter undertook to erect and complete a school for the former, called the Barker Street School, in said borough. In accordance with the provisions of the Acts of March 28, 1929, P. L. 106, May 6, 1925, P. L. 546, and May 10, 1917, P. L. 158, the school district aforesaid accepted the penal bond of the defendant in the amount of $15,456, which the Jones-Redditt Company gave to it. Subsequently, the Jones-Redditt…
