SPEER, District Judge.

The indictment in this case is demurred to upon many grounds, and a plenitude of decided cases have been cited in the exhaustive arguments of counsel for and against the demurrer. The principles of criminal pleading to which these authorities relate are familiar, and it seems serviceable to a satisfactory determination of the questions raised by the demurrer to analyze the indictment in view of the law said to have been violated, and determine whether it is sufficient, in the language of the constitution, to “inform the accused of the nature and cause of the accusa*345tion.”…
