OPINION
CLAYTON, Justice.
Vasconcelos, plaintiff below, filed this suit to recover for personal services allegedly rendered by plaintiff for defendant, appellant here. In his amended pleadings plaintiff alleges that he and defendant entered into a verbal contract on or about January 3, 1963 whereby plaintiff was to act for defendant as his private secretary in the latter’s capacity as a County Commissioner of El Paso County, receiving the mail and answering the phone in the Commissioners’ office on certain mornings during the week, keeping note of telephone calls for defendant or constituents…
