This is a retaliatory discharge case in which William Wendt sued his former employer, the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC), the University of Kansas (KU), and five individual defendants, Irene Cumming, Donald Hagen, Richard Robards, David Cobb, and David Lewin. The district court dismissed Wendt’s 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (2000) claims against KUMC and KU, dismissed the 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claims against the individual defendants in their official capacities, entered summary judgment in favor of Hagen in his individual capacity, dismissed…
