Matsumoto v. Renner

This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of defendants, after a jury trial, in an action for the wrongful death of plaintiffs’ daughter who sustained fatal injuries when the car in which she was riding as a guest collided with a truck being driven by defendant Renner. The accident happened at about 6 o’clock p. m., December 26, 1945, on Ventura Avenue, near DeWolf Avenue, in Fresno County. Shortly before the accident Renner drove the truck, owned by Carr, to the Leonard Packing Company about 1½ miles southeast of the scene of the collision and loaded it with about 8 tons of packed grapes.…
