Reversing.

The city of Henderson was laid out in 1797 by a company that then owned the land on which the city was subsequently established. This company made a plat of the proposed city, dividing it into 132 squares contain*504ing four acres each. These squares were laid off into lots of convenient size, each lo't being numbered consecutively from one up. Two streets were laid off one hundred feet wide running parallel with the river, and ten cross streets one hundred feet wide were also laid off running at right angles from the river.
