MEMORANDUM

GESELL, District Judge.

This case compels the Court to examine the latest technique in the “war on drugs” as it is waged at the local bus and train stations. The question presented is whether a young traveller passing through D.C., cornered by police on an interstate bus at the Greyhound station, and faced with a request to search her bag has been seized within the meaning of the Fourth Amendment and whether her subsequent denial of ownership of the bag was voluntary.
