The General Assembly adopted a Joint Resolution, approved May 1, 1937, creating a joint legislative committee to investigate the law enforcement agencies of the State. Acts 1937, p. 1438. Pursuant to the resolution, this committee was appointed, consisting of Senators Harvey, Mars, and Pruitt and Representatives Bennett, Moorer, and Anderson, who in due course entered upon the performance of their important duties.
