The defendant was charged with the violation of the provisions of the so-called “Wyllie local option law” under an information, filed in the superior court of Mendocino County by the district attorney thereof, and which charged him with willfully and unlawfully keeping and conducting a place where alcoholic liquor was sold, served, and distributed within the boundaries of the first supervisorial district of said county and outside the corporate limits of any city or town, said supervisorial district “being then and there no-license territory.”
