Petitioner has moved to confirm, and respondent to vacate, an arbitration award. The background of the proceeding is as follows:
On March 6, 1968 Pearl Grange Fruit Exchange, Inc. (hereinafter “Pearl”), a Michigan corporation, invoked the New York Supreme Court in a proceeding against Catz American Co., Inc. (hereinafter “Catz”), a New York corporation, to stay arbitration of a dispute between them.
