OPINION AND VERDICT

CEDARBAUM, District Judge.

This case arises out of defendant Benjamin G. Sprecher’s relationship to certain corporate shells and his control of a tax-exempt religious corporation. Sprecher, an attorney with a securities law practice in New York City, is charged with conspiring to defraud the United States and making false statements to a government agency in connection with two separate securities transactions, one involving Towers Financial Corporation and the other, World Wide Medical Technology.
