The defendant in error, as plaintiff in the court below, commenced this action against the Midland Valley Railroad Company to recover damages for personal injuries alleged to have been received on January 27, 1913, by stepping into a hole in its station platform at Skia-took, Olda., and that his injuries were due to the negligence of the railroad company. The part of his petition describing his injuries reads as follows:
