Action in debt by appellant, on complaint of the county board, against appellee, to recover the penalties provided by the fifty-sixth section of the revenue act of March 30, 1872, for giving a false schedule or statement required by the act, and for a failure and refusal to deliver to the assessor, when called on for that purpose, a list of the taxable personal property he was required to list under said act. The declaration contained fourteen counts, two for each of the years 1898, ’97, ’96, ’95, ’94, ’93 and ’90, one in each year for a false schedule, and one for a failure to give any…
