GAITAN, Judge.
Dr. Charles Willman, plaintiff-appellant, asserts he was libeled in connection with his 1985 application for staff privileges at Spelman Memorial Hospital in Smithville, Missouri, by defendants-respondents, John Dooner, Robert L. Corder, Jr., Randall J. Moeller, Heartland East Hospital, Roger Oskvig and Donald Frey. Dr. Willman contends that defendants sent defamatory material to Spelman, resulting in the denial of his application for privileges at Spelman.
