Joel Bradberry brought suit against his former employer, the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department. He alleged that after fulfilling his two-week training obligation with the United States Army Reserve, he was terminated in violation of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (“USERRA”), 38 U.S.C. §§ 4301^335, and Texas Government Code §§ 613.001-613.023.
