These suits, tried together before the court and a jury and here on a single transcript, grow out of a collision between an automobile operated by Mrs. Allie Breeding and a bus of Short Way Lines, a common carrier of passengers. Mrs. Breeding was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Emma Jane Wheeler. Both were instantly killed after the Breeding car had skidded and had made one and one-half revolutions on the pavement before colliding with the bus.
