On September 14, 1937, tbe appellant and plaintiff below, Mary Evelyn Sherwood, while traveling on one of the streets of the city of Louisville in a hired taxicab was severely injured by a collision of the taxicab in which she was riding with a truck owned and operated by the appellees and defendants below, N. F. Huber, William C. Huber, and L. H.
