Plaintiff owned some stock in the Springfield Body Corporation. Defendant Woods, a broker, who will hereafter be referred to as the defendant, sold it for him for $1,925. The testimony fairly shows that it was at least tacitly understood between the parties that defendant might invest a portion of the proceeds in the purchase of stock for plaintiff in such company as defendant should select. April 3, 1917, plaintiff received from defendant $425.
