The petitioner, Mark St. John, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his amended petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The petitioner claims that the court erred in denying his claim of ineffective assistance of counsel because it (1) failed to consider all aspects of his claim relating to his criminal trial counsel’s failure to call a dog tracking expert and (2) improperly concluded that his claim of ineffective assistance of counsel failed to satisfy the prejudice prong of the two-pronged test set forth in Strickland v.
