OPINION OF THE COURT

GAMBOA Judge:

Appellant was convicted, contrary to his pleas, by general court-martial, of murdering Yolanda Pengson, and then desecrating her corpse. Articles 118 and 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 918 and 934 (1988). His approved sentence is a dishonorable discharge, confinement for life, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to the grade of E-l. Appellant assigns five errors. One assigned error challenges the admissibility of certain Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) testing evidence, because the methodology and the locus where the test focused were unreliable.…
