GREENE, Judge.
Zannie Garner (plaintiff) appeals from an order of the trial court granting Rentenbach Constructors Incorporated (defendant) summary judgment on the plaintiffs claims for wrongful discharge and intentional infliction of emotional distress. 1
The facts are as follows: The plaintiff was hired by the defendant in July of 1993 as a caipenter. There is no evidence in the record that the plaintiff was hired pursuant to a contract and the plaintiff does not contend that he was not an at-will employee.
