This is an interlocutory appeal of an order denying a motion to stay proceedings and compel arbitration. See Tex. Civ. PRAC. & Rem.Code Ann. § 171.098(a) (Vernon Supp.1999). 1 Teco Pipeline Company has sued Valero Energy Corp., 24 related companies, and two officers and directors, Stan L. McLelland and William L. Gree-hey (collectively “Valero”). 2 Valero filed a motion to stay proceedings and compel arbitration. In response, Teco filed a motion to stay arbitration.
