This proceeding was brought by the defendant Lillie Vaneuren, under the provisions of section 50 (8) of the Civil Practice Act. William H. Vaneuren, husband of Lillie Vaneuren, the defendant, on January 31, 1945, filed his suit for divorce in the circuit court'of Piatt county, Illinois, charging desertion. Service on the defendant was by publication. A decree of divorce on the ground of desertion was entered pro confesso by the circuit court on March 22, 1945.
