LOKEN, Circuit Judge.
Richard Welsh applied for Social Security disability and supplemental security income benefits. Following an administrative hearing, the ALJ denied the application, concluding that Welsh’s severe impairments precluded return to his past relevant work, but he retained the residual functional capacity to perform sedentary work as a surveillance systems monitor and a call out operator.
