OPINION

ROBINSON, J.

{1} This case concerns the interpretation of a collective bargaining agreement entered into in 1996 between the University of New Mexico (the University) and the University of New Mexico Police Officer’s Association (the Association). The trial court determined that the University breached its agreement with the Association by underpaying police officers and awarded damages accordingly.
