OPINION

GEMMILL, Judge.

¶ 1 Corey Lamont King appeals his convictions and sentences on two counts of cruelty to animals and one count of interfering with judicial proceedings. King argues that his Confrontation Clause rights under the United States Constitution were violated when the trial court admitted recorded statements to a 9-1-1 operator and statements made to a police officer during an initial investigation. Applying principles from the United States Supreme Court opinion in Crawford v. Washington, 541 U.S. 36, 124 S.Ct. 1354, 158 L.Ed.2d 177 (2004), we conclude that King’s convictions…
