Bell, Justice.

This case presents the question whether the act of the General Assembly providing that no action for damages shall be instituted against the City of Savannah unless written notice of the injury shall be given the mayor and aldermen of the city within six months from the date of the injury (Ga. L. 1915, p. 825) is unconstitutional on the ground that it violates the provision of the constitution of Georgia that “no special law shall be enacted in any case for which provision has been made by an existing general law.” Code, § 2-401.
