[¶ 1] Ervin Ratajczak appeals from the district court’s judgment awarding Beverly Ra-tajczak $2,500 monthly spousal support. We affirm.

[¶2] Beverly and Ervin Ratajczak were married on October 24, 1970 in Minnesota. When they married, the parties were nineteen-year-old high school graduates.

[¶ 3] Early in the marriage, Ervin attended technical school to receive a degree in parts’ management. He worked various jobs until 1979, when he began a career with Thermo Air Sales Corporation in Fargo, North Dakota. Since then, Ervin has worked as a sales representative at Thermo Air to…
