This is an action for damages for injuries, alleged to have resulted from carbon monoxide gas poisoning, while plaintiff was employed in defendant's garage. Plaintiff's petition charged failure to furnish plaintiff a safe place of work in the following respects: That defendant negligently allowed the engines of automobiles to be run in the garage so as to permeate it with carbon monoxide gas due to lack of ventilation facilities; that it negligently assured plaintiff he could work there in safety when it knew, or, by the exercise of ordinary care, could have known that it was dangerous; and…
