The plaintiff, John J. Cullen (plaintiff), appeals from a Superior Court trial justice’s order granting summary judgment in favor of the defendant, Dennis Auclair (defendant), in this defamation and false light action. This case came before the Court for oral argument on October 1, 2002, pursuant to an order that directed both parties to appear to show cause why the issues raised by this appeal should not summarily be decided.
