Defendants1 appeal from their respective judgments of conviction and sentences for possession of a controlled substance. ORS 475.992. Defendants assert that the trial court erred in denying their motions to suppress evidence obtained when police seized items from defendant White’s person and then, without a warrant, opened and inspected the contents of one of the seized items, an opaque container.
