Golf Club of Georgia, Inc. sued former member Jim Bonem to collect on a “Promissory Note for installment plan of nonrefundable memberships.” In his answer, Bonem denied that he was obligated under the note, and he filed a counterclaim for the $15,000 he had paid toward his initiation fee. The Club and Bonem each moved for summary judgment. The trial court granted the Club’s motions for summary judgment with respect to the Club’s claim under the note and Bonem’s counterclaim.
