The Chase Manhattan Bank, National Association (“Chase”) appeals from a November 25, 1991 final order of the Honorable Burton R. Lifland, Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York (the “Order”), enjoining Chase from taking any further action in its suit against Thomas LaSala (“Thomas”), Kenneth LaSala (“Kenneth”) and Jacob I. Sopher (“Sopher”) (collectively, the “Guarantors”), the guarantors of certain loans made by Chase to the debtor in this Chapter 11 proceeding, Third Eighty-Ninth Associates (the “Debtor”).
