Defendant Timothy Eling was convicted by jury verdict in Ramsey County District Court of two counts of murder in the first degree in violation of Minn.Stat. §§ 609.-185, subd. 1, 609.185, subd. 3, and 609.05 (1982) in the shooting death of security guard Richard Walton during an aggravated robbery at the pharmacy of Mounds Park Hospital. Defendant argues on appeal that probable cause was lacking for his warrantless arrest and for a subsequently issued warrant authorizing the search of his residence.
