In the Circuit Court for Howard County, a jury convicted Omar Nathan McLennan, Petitioner, of armed robbery. Although he concedes that the State’s evidence was sufficient to establish that he committed that crime on November 29, 2005, Petitioner argues that he is entitled to a new trial on the ground that (in the words of his brief), “the trial court’s ruling, excluding the testimony of Mr. [Gordon] Smith and Mr. [Douzoua] Nado, deprived Petitioner of a fair trial.” After the Court of Special Appeals affirmed the conviction in an unreported opinion, Petitioner filed a petition for writ of…
