On March 20, 1944, plaintiff’s Chevrolet truck, loaded with crates of live poultry and driven by its employee, was proceeding south on graveled highway No. 60. At about 7:30 o’clock in the evening, and about two and a half miles north of Cincinnati, Iowa, and just after crossing a bridge, the truck collided with the coupé, which was traveling north. In approaching the bridge from the north, the truck had descended a hill with about a six per cent grade.
