During their marriage, Debra and David Tras-ter executed a postmarital agreement setting forth the respective legal rights and obligations of each spouse in the event the marriage did not survive. After more than 25 years of marriage, David filed for divorce and—contrary to the terms of the postmarital agreement—requested the court equitably divide the marital property.
